This Greenwich Village loft was built in 1889 and originally housed a vendor that sold feathers for ladies hats. After a complete gut rehabilitation necessary to create a contemporary floor plan, all new mechanicals and windows were installed. The salvageable original elements were retained and cleaned.

Incorporating the client's bold modern art collection with his fine French and Asian antiques posed a major challenge. By juxtaposing old and new in a fearless manner, the designer was able to create an interior unique in style and quality.
