Created by architect Charles Warren on 5 lush Upper Brookville acres, the house is approached through a majestic alee of linden trees.

The French Renaissance inspired mansion features slate, brick and limestone exterior finishes. Flaired roof lines, angled chimneys and a large oeil de boeuf window above the main entry combine to animate the design.

Inlaid stone floors, palmetto pilasters and a custom Venetian styled iron railing define the entry foyer.

The expansive living room centers around a custom carpet by Stark that repeats the colors and shapes of the inlayed foyer floor. An ink watercolor of a Tang horse disguises a flat screen TV over the mantel. Deco chair fabric by Corragio.

Silver leafed demi lune cabinets frame the entrance to the dining room. The space features a barrel vaulted ceiling and finely detailed Palladian inspired custom cabinetry.

Large classical Murano glass footed bowls are placed as centerpieces on the pair of dining tables.

Antiqued painted finishes, stained and distressed maple center island and table combine with a hand chipped travertine floor and an iron chandelier to create an updated country kitchen.

A graceful hand blown crystal fixture hangs in the stairway. Antique framed mirror panels are from the original ballroom decor of the Waldorf Astoria, NYC.

Dan Kiser created a master suite that is utterly tranquil with it’s blue and cream color scheme.

The master bedroom chaise occupies a sunny windowed bay. A graceful Palladian window overlooks the pool and grounds.

The wife’s bathroom is sheathed in pink marble with a rare onyx slab inlaid in the floor. The vanity is faced with textured glass mirrored from behind.

Glamor abounds in the fashion forward bedroom of the client’s daughter. Ebony stained floors anchor the mirror, crystal ,and silk fabrics that provide sparkle.

Accented with African art and Indonesian accessories, the son’s bedroom is masculine yet unexpected.

The wife’s office features finely fluted oak panelling and a carved wood Venetian chandelier. Setee is by Saladino. Paisley fabric by Kravet.

The pool house by architect Ron Zakary echoes the main facade of the house with it’s flaired roof lines.The grounds abut parkland beyond.
